Strays in Romania

Nancy Janes visits Romania several times each year to document the overpopulation of stray dogs and cats. Her organization, Romania Animal Rescue, Inc., works with other charities to spay/neuter these animals. In years to come, the population will be reduced where we can attend to the needs of these dogs and cats. Strays in Romania. There weren’t skinny dogs and the last 2 had collars, which means or they are abandoned (former pets) or someone is taking care of them, so each one’s collar is a sign that “this dog has a guardian angel”. The only way to reduce the strays population is the spay / neuter – return program. Is the only method that works, letting the dogs in their known area, with the known people who already feed them, excluding the suffering and trauma for them and excluding the further costs for the authorities. The only cost would be the spay / neuter operation and the vaccine. The dogs remain in the area, not creating any voids to be filled up by other dogs, the dog lovers can take care of them as before – noone is hurt, noone is killed, the authorities don’t have to support them in any shelter. Not to mention the Romanian shelters are extermination camps – ask any animal lover and you’ll find out the horrible truth…
